1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use ('Terms') govern your access to and use of u1hirenow.com (the 'Site'), operated by UtilitiesOne Contractor's Opportunities for its cable technician contractor recruitment program (the 'Program'). By browsing the Site or submitting an application through it, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These Terms apply in addition to, not instead of, any agreement you separately sign if you are engaged as a contractor.

2. Purpose of this website

The Site exists to describe the cable technician contractor opportunity and to let candidates submit a recruitment application: personal details and, in a second step, identity/qualification documents. It is not a general company website, a customer service channel, or a place to request Utilities One's utility-construction services.

3. Eligibility

You must be able to lawfully enter into a contractor relationship in the United States to apply. Applicants must be of legal working age. The role advertised is a field-based, vehicle-required position — read the requirements on the homepage before applying.

4. Recruitment applications

Applying is a two-step process: your contact and address details, then your documents (a photo, a driver's license image, and a Social Security document image). You may also start an application through a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) lead form; in that case we finish collecting documents through this Site, using a personal Application Link sent to you.

5. Candidate-provided information

You are responsible for the accuracy of everything you submit — your contact details, address, and any qualification answers. See 'Accuracy of information' below.

6. Accuracy of information

You confirm that the information and documents you submit are your own and accurate to the best of your knowledge. Submitting false information (including someone else's identity documents) may disqualify your application and, where the law allows, may be reported.

7. No guarantee of employment or contractor engagement

Submitting an application, or having it marked 'submitted,' does not create a job offer, a contractor agreement, or any obligation for UtilitiesOne Contractor's Opportunities to engage you. Any offer, if made, is separate from this Site and is documented on its own.

8. No guarantee of interview or further contact

We review applications and follow up with candidates who fit the current opening, but we do not guarantee an interview, a phone call, or any specific response to every applicant.

9. The recruitment process may change

We may change the application steps, the documents requested, the qualification questions, or the role itself (including pausing or closing the opening) at any time, without notice, as hiring needs change.

10. Uploaded documents and materials

Documents you upload (photo, driver's license, Social Security document) must be your own, must be genuine, and are provided solely so we can evaluate and process your application. Do not upload anyone else's documents or any file unrelated to your application.

11. Prohibited use

You agree not to: submit false or someone else's information or documents; attempt to bypass the Site's security checks (including the bot-protection challenge and rate limits); attempt to access another candidate's application, Application Link, or documents; probe, scan, or interfere with the Site's infrastructure; or use the Site for any purpose other than applying to the advertised opportunity.

12. Intellectual property

The Site's text, design, layout, and the Utilities One name and logo belong to Utilities One or its licensors. You may view the Site and use it to apply; you may not copy, republish, resell, or create derivative works from its content without our written permission.

13. Third-party services and links

The Site relies on third-party services to operate — for example a bot-protection challenge (Cloudflare Turnstile) and, if you arrive from an advertisement, the advertising platform (Meta). Their own terms apply to your use of those services. Where the Site links to an external site, we are not responsible for that site's content or availability.

14. Website availability

We aim to keep the Site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Site or the application process may be unavailable at times for maintenance, updates, or issues outside our control.

15. Disclaimer

The Site and the application process are provided 'as is,' without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be error-free or that every submitted application will be reviewed within any particular time.

16. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, UtilitiesOne Contractor's Opportunities is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site or the application process, including a missed opportunity, a delayed response, or a technical failure during submission. Nothing in these Terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

17. Indemnification

You agree to hold UtilitiesOne Contractor's Opportunities harmless from claims arising out of information or documents you submit that are false, not your own, or submitted in violation of these Terms.

18. Governing law

The governing law and venue for disputes arising from use of this Site have not yet been finalized for u1hirenow.com specifically and are pending confirmation by Utilities One. This section will be updated once that decision is made; no jurisdiction should be assumed from Utilities One's general corporate materials until then.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The 'Last updated' date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
